Entry 1: Anticipating the experience

I am very excited to be leaving for Spain in a couple days. I anticipate that I will have a good time. The language barrier is a challenge I plan on overcoming by practicing my Spanish as much as possible. I am not very excited for my host family honestly, but we will see how it goes. I am just worried that I will not relate to them and it will be an awkward 5 weeks. I am very excited to explore Spain and just be adventurous. I am a little anxious about getting to Spain. I am a fairly anxious flyer, but hopefully I can get over that this trip. Once in Spain I plan to live life to the fullest extent and really relish my time there. I am a bit worried that the homework assigned by the program could detract from the overall immersion. I would much rather be immersed in the language for an hour than stuck behind a computer for an hour. So hopefully the homework load is realistic and interactive and not just mere busy work.
